James McCabe, MD
Dr. McCabe is the Section Chief for the Structural Heart Therapies at BIDMC. Previously, he spent 12 years at University of Washington, culminating as the Section Head for Interventional Cardiology practice across the University of Washington enterprise of hospitals and David and Nancy Auth Endowed Chair in Cardiac Innovation. His clinical practice is focused on structural heart interventions including repair or replacement of all heart valves using catheter-based methods. His research interests focus on novel transcatheter therapies to address unmet needs in the structural heart space.
Dr. McCabe will also be joining the faculty of the Smith Center, where he will be leading the establishment of a new research center devoted to cardiovascular device and procedural innovation.
