The Richard A. and Susan F. Smith Center for Outcomes Research was officially launched on November 1, 2015. In tandem with the recruitment of Dr. Robert Gerszten, Dr. Peter Zimetbaum hired Dr. Robert Yeh (Director) to start a new center focused on outcomes research supported by a generous gift from the Smith family.
The past ten years have been a whirlwind of growth. We’ve influenced national policy, generated new clinical insights, and increased access to high-quality, affordable care – but, most importantly, we’ve improved the lives of millions of Americans and people worldwide by doing this work.
As we look forward to this next phase of the organization, we are excited to keep up the momentum we’ve built together. The work we do is more important than ever. Our tenth anniversary is the perfect occasion to renew our dedication to our team and to our mission: to apply to the highest standards of scientific evaluation to understand and improve patient outcomes and advance population health.
